How Outpick works

Make your picks. Beat the spread. Outpick the league.

Outpick turns the point spread into a season-long competition. Pick your sides, follow every point, and see who can Outpick the league. This page is the official rulebook.

    Choose your picks

    Select the required number of teams from eligible matchups in your league's current round. Each side carries an Outpick Line.

  2. 2

    Follow every point

    When one of your selected games begins, that pick locks and its score starts updating with the game.

  3. 3

    Score the margin

    Every pick earns or loses points based on the selected team's scoring margin after its Outpick Line is applied.

  4. 4

    Outpick the league

    Your pick scores combine into one Round Score. Round Scores accumulate across the season to decide the league.

The objective

Build the strongest slate of picks and accumulate more Outpick points than the rest of your league. Each round you select the number of games your league requires — in the standard Outpick format, 5 picks (commissioners may configure a different number where the league's plan allows it). Your pick scores add up to your Round Score, Round Scores accumulate into your Season Score, and the highest Season Score tops the league standings.
